Making prescribing safer, faster

We built InteractRx because clinical pharmacists deserve tools designed for the way they actually work.

InteractRx was built to solve a problem every GP surgery pharmacist knows: checking drug interactions shouldn't mean juggling five browser tabs during a 10-minute medication review.

Every day, clinical pharmacists in GP surgeries across the UK review complex medication regimens for patients taking five, ten, or even fifteen different drugs. The standard workflow -- opening the BNF, cross-referencing NICE guidelines, checking the dm+d -- is thorough but painfully slow when you have a waiting room full of patients.

We built InteractRx to collapse that workflow into a single, fast, clinically referenced tool. Not a replacement for clinical judgement or the full BNF, but a decision support tool that helps you check interactions in seconds rather than minutes.

Why we built InteractRx

Polypharmacy is the norm in GP, not the exception. The average patient over 65 takes five or more regular medications, and that number is rising. Each new prescription adds exponentially more potential interactions to check.

Meanwhile, GP surgery pharmacists face increasing demand: more patients, more complex medications, more structured medication reviews, and more time pressure. The tools haven't kept up.

InteractRx was designed from the ground up for this reality -- fast interaction checking, clear severity ranking, and actionable clinical summaries that you can share directly with the GP.

Our Data Sources

Trusted clinical references

Every interaction in InteractRx is backed by authoritative NHS and clinical pharmacy data sources.

BNF

British National Formulary

Drug interaction data from the BNF, the standard clinical reference for prescribing in the UK. Our database covers all BNF-listed interactions with severity classifications.

NICE

NICE Guidelines

Clinical guidelines from the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence. Dosage recommendations and prescribing guidance aligned with current NICE standards.

dm+d

NHS dm+d

The NHS Dictionary of Medicines and Devices ensures accurate drug identification. We map brand names, generic names, and formulations to standardised dm+d codes.

Our Team

Pharmacists building for pharmacists

Our team combines clinical pharmacy experience with healthcare technology expertise. We're pharmacists who got tired of slow tools.

Every feature in InteractRx has been shaped by the daily realities of medication reviews in GP surgeries. We understand the workflow because we've lived it -- the time pressure, the complex patients, the need for quick but reliable clinical information.

We work closely with practising clinical pharmacists across the UK to ensure InteractRx fits seamlessly into the GP surgery environment.
